"The five people you meet in heaven" (by Mitch Albom)
The third person (Pier’s lady) showed Eddie how his father was going to die and behind the story of that. One night, his old friend Mickey was drunken out of judgment and about to raped Eddie’s mother. Eddie’s father chased after him, perhaps to kill him or hurt him, but in the end, he tried to save him when he floundered in the sea. Because of this accident, he became sick and die in the hospital, but he kept silent.
The old woman, as the third person, explained to Eddie that he must forgive his father. “Holding anger is a poison. It eats you from the inside. We think that hating is a weapon that attacks the person who harmed us. But hatred is a curved blade. And the harm we do, we do to ourselves. … No one is born with anger. When we die, the soul is freed of it. You must understand why you no longer need to feel it.”
After he met his father and forgave, the scene changed. He saw many different wedding ceremonies. The fourth person Eddie meets in heaven was Marguerite –his wife. The book shows one birthday scene with Marguerite and the moment of Eddie meets Marguerite in heaven.
"Wonder" by R. J. Palacio
August (Auggie) is a ten-year-old boy who thinks that he is not ordinary as he was born with a facial deformity. He has a warm family consisting of a father, mother, and sister named Via.
His mother described to him how he came into the world in a fun way, which was about a nurse who kept farting. This story always makes him and Via crack up.
Due to his illness and many surgeries, he was homeschooled by his mom. However, his parents suggested to go school in fifth grade, which is a starting point and new to other students. Even though he initially refused to go, his parents’ joke regarding the school principal's name (Mr.Tushman) and good mood at the first meeting at school made him try to go to school. At the meeting, a school tour was provided by 3 kids named Jack Will, Julian, and Charlotte. After Julian asked Auggie about his face (Jack and Charlotte stopped him), there was little tension between them. Even at the first-class time of introducing each other, Julian asked him if he liked Darth Sidious from Star Wars having a face that got burned.
