잔잔한 시골 동네에서의 말 별로 없는 의사의 이야기라서.. ㅎㅎ

Splash out : (informal, mainly Britain) to spend (money) freely or extravagantly (on something)

<=> fork out ( forkover, forkup ) : (adverb, slang) to pay (money, goods, etc), esp with reluctance

Thrust into : ~에 찔러 넣다

Cagey 비격식 (무엇에 대해) 말을 안 하는, 비밀스러운 (=evasive, secretive)

--> 오호호 1학년 오스키 시험범위였던 약 +_+ dermititis 랑 psoriasis 같은 곳에 쓰이는 Hydrocortisone 크림ㅋㅋ mild corticosteriod 크림이었읍죠 쿠쿠쿠...

Dust off (다시 쓰기 위해) 방치했던 물건을 오랜만에 꺼내다, (야구 투수가) 빈볼을 던지다, 때려 눕히다.

갑자기 그들에 대한 지지를 중단했다. 그들의 계획을 망쳤다

pull the rug (out) from under a person 

남의 계획을 망치다, 남에 대한 지지[원조]를 갑자기 중단하다

 

 

"Ungrateful little tyke"

 tyke (특히 말썽쟁이) 아이 , 英 요크셔(Yorkshire) 사람

 

"drop dead, you dunderhead!"

꺼져, 멍청아!

Dunderhead 멍청이,바보

"You can shoot off, if you like"

Shoot off 급히 떠나다 = dash off
